I can't help but wonder if the top photo is of a hybrid? Looks like very unusual patterning for a corn and very dark, wondering if it is a black ratsnake cross? It's a lovely snake no matter what, but that also may explain the very unusual hatchling?

Lovely snakes :)

Im not sure, Gmac thought my hatching was a hybrid but then changed his mind.this is the onlt time its ever happened all the other other hatchling look pretty much the same with the same colouring and patterns apart from one which looks a really light brown colour. ive been trying to get a picture of her but shes sheding so im going to wait until she has finished before i post a pic, she also came from the same clutch my funky one did.

Fantastic snakes. :) I, too, thought that the female might be some sort of hybrid with that dark coloring and off pattern. That's a fetching pair.
