So cute! this might seem silly but I have to ask, are they born with thier spikes or do they grow in later? my mum and I have been debating this for awhile now, looks like they're adorable and spikey by 5 weeks though |

They are born sort of spikey. The quills are there but they are all soft and wiggly. Heres a picture of them a few hours old

Great job mate they are too cute!! once they hit 5 weeks is that a sure sign they will survive then or is that when they are usually weaned by ? excuse my ignorance i know nothing about "Hedgepigs" lol |

Thanks all As with anything, there is still a chance of things going wrong, but since they are almost independent now, plus Lemons issuch a good mum, I hoping we're all safe |

Well I guess my mum won that one then, they are bizarrely adorable newborns and they look great all grown up too!
