Better than the Daily Fail article is the comments below it. The general public certainly need educating about snakes in general. Grass snakes can get to about 5 foot...

Snakes are so misunderstood lol.

And I doubt it would eat someones dog lol! unless it was REALLY hungry ;)

Actually an almost sympathetic news report for a change. The 6ft snake didn't suddenly become a 12ft, poisonous child killing monster and the RSPCA wasnt shouting for all snake keeping to be banned. No panicky comments from the chap who spotted it either and he couldn't have been too scared if he took time to photograph it. I did chuckle at his comment about wanting to run faster lol. I think we ought to organise a search party
