I thought I better show that Vambo isn't causing the rest of the clan to be neglected.
Here's Mirkey having Sunday lunch after a good handling session. He looked so comfortable, I didn't see much point in disturbing him by putting him into the feeding tub. One twirl of the mouse tail and he struck it perfectly by the head and happily downed it while still wrapped around my arm. After a monster yawn to realign his jaws he calmly reached into the viv for a big drink then into his warm hide for a snooze.
All round it was a very satisfying day for all.

It's not that Vambo doesn't have any respect ... just that I want a bit more before I try this with him. As he's 6 feet long my arms are way to short to get my nose out of range. It's enough fun hand feeding him in his feeding tub. On non feeding days he will happily come out to me for a chin rub. Absolutely cracking snake.
Mirkey is always happy and never more so than pile-driving through the wood chips and rearranging the sensor wires. I've got the temp probe jammed in tight with a block of plastic. He gives me a "Think that will stop me?" look and hauls it out and ties the wires up in knots.
Never a dull moment.
