I think so not sure as I don't have one, there are lots of sub spicies of miks that they range in colours and sizes. Check out the sister site thekingsnake.co.uk, kings and milks are in the same familly but there are lots of different caresheets on there along with people who own milks and kings. Though I guess you might be better out finding what sub spicices you like and googling the caresheet for that species or getting a cheap book off amazon or something.

Scarlet kingsnakes (although says kingsnake it's classed as a milk that I last knew, maybe they have been classed back as a king though since lol) is also a small snake, seems hard to get hold of but very pretty and small.

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3

as for ball pythons, is it essential to use a heat lamp rather than a mat or can a mat be used just as succesfully?

I'm not a royal keeper, but think prob ok initially with a juvenile, but once bigger a bulb is prob best due to the problem of thermal blocking of the mat due to the 'large' body weight of snake.
I'm sure you will get replies from Royal keepers.
Have you made your mind up or getting both a Milk and Royal

If your keeping your royal in a viv its best kept with a lamp shadow and arwen are in rubs atm so on mats still as blackcat says the problem with mats in vivs for royals is thermal blocking when they get big and heavy the weight of the snake prevents the mat working properly

Pythons are really danger because they are poisoned. I have seen those in TV and I wish not to see those directly.

Its true, Royal Python's are indeed highly poisoned and are often featured on TV. They are also highly active, skinny and never refuse a meal.

Royal's are beautiful.

Housies are cute too (albino t-)
