so, i have been trolling ebay for random reptile stuff and found a 18" monfield viv, which i have the two pther sizes fot my corns currently.

well long story cut short.

i got it for 99p!


i cleaned it, disenfected it, resealed it.

have just spent the last hour dividing it and get the temps to settle

and hero is now having a whale of a time (where does that saying eveb come from) checking all the escaped routes :)







1.0 western hognose (hero)
1.0 phantom reverse pin dal brindle crested gecko (goyle)
0.2 red dal red harly (sprite) 99% full pin Harley crested gecko (TuLong)
0.0.3 miomantis paykullii
0.0.3 Bombina orientalis (oriental fire bellied toad)
0.3 fancy mice (snap, crackle and pop)
1.0 yorkshire terrier (jasper)
2.1 cats (echo, shadow and pokey)

One of the explanations I found on the net: "The blue whale being the biggest creature on earth, a "whale of" anything is "a large amount of" it. As well as "whale of a time" people used to say "a whale of a lot" and "a whale of a job". It's US slang from around 1910."

Personally though, I prefer this answer that was jokingly given elsewhere: "Jonah, he was the first to have a whale of a time"
