So, Cornflake has been in blue for a little while and been a bit 'off'. Got her out today as she was due a poo. As she's been a bit off we have just been getting her out but not handling her much so today we got the branch from her viv to hide under.

She then started rubbing her face on it and I noticed a crack on her head. Soon after the skin on her head had peeled right back (both eye caps included) and she continued to shed right in front of us.

We left her to it and it took about 10 minutes. The very end inch of her tail did not come off but we spotted this and had a wet flannel at hand. Two runs through the flannel and it came off.

I never believed that she would shed in front of us! It was amazing and a bit gross at the same time. I feel privileged that she felt comfortable enough to do it in front of us and now that I have seen it once, I know what to expect now. She is such a clever girl and I am so proud of her!

depends on the age of the snake and growth rate, 8 sheds about once a month and he's coming up for a year old
