He seems to think she may have some sort of gland infection thats causing her to hold air in her throat and then puff it out. So iv got to give her anti biotics (baytril) daily, which should be fun!
thankfully not too serious! |

Did they what glands? Patorid glands? Did they say why that would cause the snake to hold air in its throat and then puff it out or even how it would do that as the only airway opening is at the front of the mouth?
Sorry question overload, never heard of this before and I've really nerded up on snake biology, would love to hear more about this. Was it an exotics vet? |

Yes exotic vet. Its a soft lump and doesnt seem to be painfull. Likely to be a resp infection he and I think. No other symptoms apart from the lump. She eats like a beast, poops fine, all temps correct and clean enviroment. |

I think your vet isnt quite on the ball here, its not a respiratory infection, they manifest in a completely different way. Its more likely to be some kind of fluid retention if anything. One thing it isnt though, is an RI. |
