Dunelm is the way to go! For a tenner you can get enough ivy that you'll never see your snake! Bamboo from Wickes or B and Q works well too. You can get loads for a tenner.

I just went to a local forest armed with my phone with pictures of wood that would be harmful. Came back with a good haul which we cleaned up and bleached over night.

http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2402 bam!

I knew there was one on here somewhere, this topic comes up once in a while :)

Here is one of my snake's vivs, I got rope from B&Q and wrapped it around itself a couple of times, then hooked it to the 'roof'.

Did you get that rope off the website? I went into b&q today but couldn't find anything like it?

It's doubled around itself. That's 4m of 12mm natural rope from their rope and wires section - the bit you cut yourself. I've just coiled it around itself and glued either end with a glue gun, then cable tied it to eyelets in the roof of my viv.
