Well I've felt rotten all day, and 2 things have made my day good, an act of kindness from Ozziesmum and then I discovered Sam like this.

How do they fit?

The fangs are bright white and soft

Lovely and fluffy.

A few more

Amazes me they shed their fangs and have squishy white ones until they harden.

You can see the tarsal claws on the end of her legs/feet.

Never fails to amaze me the intricate detail and almost mechanical look to spiders (they move using Hydraulics)

She was big, she will be about 50% bigger now.

Yep pretty much, the carapace splits, it pops off like a lid and they squeeze out, can take hours and hours and they are totally knackered after, takes about a week for them to harden and the fangs to work properly by then she'll be starving.

Hmm, I see one of your captions was 'lovely and fluffy'? I would have said 'lovely and fluffy' describes a rabbit, or a chinchilla, or a baby chick... :P

OK I'll admit it, they are quite cool pics nonetheless ;)
