Hello everyone, been using this forum for a couple of months and now have finally joined. I have a 5 month Carmel corn snake names Jake. Jake is my first corn snake so any useful tips very welcome lol. I currently look at a tread about a corn snake the same age as mine going into a 3ft viv and there was some mixed views. I want to put jake in a 3ft viv but worried it will stress him out to much. Any advice?? |

How old and big is he? A 3 foot viv is big enough for the rest of your snakes life, you can always put a divide in and gradually increase the size of the viv x |

He is 5 months old and about 16-17 inches. I did think of that, would you say a 3ft is a bit to big of a jump?? He is in a plastic starter kit one at the moment x |

I think I will leave it until begin of next year then, I want to equipment my 3ft viv so it's ready for him to go in and I like the look of the exo terra rock background but they only make up to 24inch long where I need it to be 36 inches long. Do I just have to by 2 different sizes and put together?? Xx |

I'm about to transfer Chops into the two foot Viv as he is almost two foot long and weighs 36 grams....I think he is getting a little squashed in the tiny home that he has but then again they do like smaller spaces. I will put lots of hides, a toilet roll tube (he loves them) and various plastic plants so it doesn't feel like he is in a wide open space.
I have another snake coming on Monday and the reason I bought him was because I felt Chops could be transferred to the two foot viv. |

as someone with expierance, I suggest not putting him in it for at least a year or so. My Snow Corn snake was in a 10 gallon tank for like 2 years and I just recently moved into a larger set up with his room mate lol. He enjoys it emencly. Good luck hahaha |
