I dont fully follow the question, do you have a heat mat in every tier or not? Also do you use thermostats to control the temp? If you dont use heat mats how are you achieving this 30oC?

Thanks Georgina,
I don't have a heat mat in any of the tiers.
no, I actually have no idea, I have a simple bulb and the temp is 28-30? My snakes are always 'tepid' when I get them out which i've heard they're meant to be...

they should feel cold to the touch as there max temp of 30 is lower than our body temp.

have you got a picture of your set up?

what type of bulbs do you use, do you have gaurds and are they on stats?

1 you need a guard on the lamp
2 it is massivly too hot if that dial thermomter reads 30, you need to turn all heat off asap
3 in a small viv like that you will not achieve a gradient in the heat and mats will be a better option
4 having the temp that high and a water bowl there its gonna make the humidity rocket.

would also be better to use digital thermometers with probes (more accurate)

oh poo, i forgot to put that lol!

5 you need to have a stat on what ever heat source
6 onky use digital thermomters, 2 if you can.

Agreed with Georgina, you need to get a mat and a stat and a digital thermometer for each viv you have and bin the lamp completely. If you want light in the viv get some LED lights (ikea have a good selection) that give off minimal heat and will not effect the temps on your viv. And a hide in the cool end required as well.

The tier system will also mean the snakes at the top will be far hotter than the bottom ones, If the air temperature is 30oC which it will be around that if thats what the dial thermometer says then its a corn snake oven in there. Air temp should be around 20oC (room temperature), with a hot side of 28oC but no more than 30oC (as it is several areas under the bulb in that viv will be over 30oC). The unguarded bulb is the most worrying thing though, corns like to climb and explore and if it climbs up on that bulb it will be severely burnt costing you hundreds of pounds to sort out.

As it has been said for the safety of your snakes that until you have the temperatures in check it is advisable to switch off the heat sources, they will be fine at room temperature as long as you dont feed them while you sort out the issues.
