1.2.0 corns: captain haddock, sharon the tiddler and Darling Debbie. plus 0.2.0 cali kings: spot and Numpty... not forgetting the delightful Miss Lovely-Gonzalez-La-Poop apricot pueblan milk snake, and we all miss the Lodger who thought he was a cobra....

Hi Ive had it set up the way you guys have said for a few days now and Draco seems to be happy, first feed on monday was no problem and picked him up no problem for the first time today :D, he did feel pretty cold I know theyre cold blooded but how cold should they feel???

pretty cold, there hot end temps are cooler than our body temp. so they should always feel cool. x

Cool, Im just finding it weird the guy I got him from has ALL of his vivs set up the other way and no problems with any of his pets, including an 8 year old corn snake :p

Im pretty sure that your snake is thanking you for making his home more comfortable for him. Chances are the other snakes avoid the heatmat so they don't get too warm. The problem is, that with temperatures like that, you never know how much neurological damage is being done until it is too late.

Well said, He does seem to be making use of more of the viv now, and since i turned the hide around so the hole doesnt face the glass he uses that a lot more too. Still a bit timid at the moment lol
