... I have two collared dove chicks in my airing cupboard.

Forced to fledge by the prescense of a predator, crow, nasty bugger. Not ready yet, no wing muscles whatsoever, so we fone wiltshire wildlife rescue and they told us to try and get em back im the nest, but we couldnt even see it, let alone get em back in it.

They just fell out the tree bless em a parent fell down first though, doing the whole 'I've got a broken wing so eat me instead thing', one's got an injury theres also loadsa rats in the pub garden so they more than likely would have got got by one, they are now in a box in the airing cupboard, the wildlife dudes will fone again soon to arrange a pick up.

They are a lot more chillaxed than they were when we first bought them home.

Until today I'd never even seen a collared dove chick let alone held one

Sorry for Babbling

no offence or anything but i think we're gonna go with what the dudes are saying, learnt today that once the chicks are on the ground the parents wont feed them at all, and these littleuns arent able to do it themselves atm xx they've made nice progress since we bought them home

the parents will feed them if they are put back where you picked them up from asap. but they wont if they think they are gone, if they are too small to feed them selves then they are reliant on they parents regurging it for them and you dpnt have the means to reproduce that, and you cant buy it freely at pet stores and you would have to get it in bulk and by the time you get it it will be too late.

Sorry scaly didn't mean to bark at you. People used to bring baby birds to us all the time, and the main reason why they died was that the people moved them x
