well we got our corn snake on saturday hes been fine and he got fed the day before we got him but, just wondering whats the hints when he is looking for food? because its like he is looking for something to eat quite frequently for the past couple of days and when i went into a local pet store (pets at home) and asked this question they said, if your corn snake is frequently got his head up in his tank alot then its a sign? just wondering if we should give him one fuzzie the now? or leave it till feeding on friday??

Lol if i fed my snakes everytime thet raised their heads that way id have very fat snakes aim to feed your new snake every 5 days if hes a hatchling ideally you need to give him a week to settle in no feeding or handling on a seperate note if your buying your mice from pets at home they tend to be much much smaller than anyone elses mice so bear that in mind if you ever have to buy any elsewhere my pah frequently runs out of various sizes

To be honest theres no real way to tell if they or hungry that ive noticed but mine seem to have a knack of knowing when its feeding day they must catch a whiff of the mice defrosting in one of the other vivs and start pacing lol

my female was fed on saturday, last night she spent the whole night up and down in her viv - just exploring and sexy dancing she's definately not ready for a feed, no poop from the last one yet (she's fed on medium mice) if i gave her these every 4 days she'd be mahoosive. As above i'd wait until the 7 days settling in has happened before feeding for the first time, the snake will be fine, i've had one fast for over 10 weeks!! then feed every 5-7 days for babies and 7 - 10 days for adults

corns are opportunistic when it comes to feeding. They will always look for food even when they dont need it. Silly billies haha. Just leave him/her to feed until normal feeding day. And tbh, the PAH staff arent fantastic when it comes to reptile advice. How old is the snake? Its breeding season too so that can cause the snakes to be alot more active looking.
