Hello again just a random question, what's the best way to seal up the holes for cables and such? (my vivexotic has two half moon holes at the top) as I don't want an escapee. Also is the vents in vivexotic's products an issue, I seems it can be popped out from the inside. |

I use white tac, like blu tac but white and if needs be can be taken out.
If the vents can be popped out from the inside then they are in backwards, if they were in when you built it you put the back on the wrong way round. Either pop them out and turn them round or use a non toxic super glue to stick them in. |

I use sealant. I also stick the stalks of the greenery I buy from dunelm through the holes and bend them down so they cant fall out. Fill the remaining hole with sealant.
With my vents, I run a bead of sealant around the edge of the vent and push it in from the inside of the viv. That way snakey can't push it out and shouldn't be able to lever it out either but can be removed with a bit of force from me if I need to do any modifications. |

As lotabob says, if they can be pushed out from the inside you've got it the wrong way round! Also vivexotic state onthe instructions that it's best to run sealant round the vent edges to be on the safe side. I popped them out, ran sealant round the back and then pushed them back in again :) |

I used aquarium sealant to seal the holes in my vivexotic, and as I only used the holes on one side I glued a small piece of wood over the holes I didn't use. I glued the vents in with No More Nails, and like you had them fitted the wrong way, but meant I could go round them with the staple gun for safety |

Yeah I've got it round the wrong way, lol. I'll change it when I get back home tonight :) I'll also get some aquarium sealant to make it watertight and seal the vents/holes. Thanks for the advice :D |

Just make sure you leave it to air for a couple of days afterwards to allow the fumes to disipate |
