Het = Hetrozygus, meaning recessive gene effectively. So they are recessive for the hypo gene.

I did too Scaly

That ultramel anery motley is the spit of it's dad! Soooo much yellow!

Het means that it carries the gene for another morph, for example normal het anery means it carries the gene for anery, and if bred to a visual anery or another het anery, some of the babies will be visually anery
Hypo is a morph that reduces the amount of black or darker colouring, for instance most normals have a fair amount of black around the borders of their saddles, however a hypo has no black at all. When added to things like lavender, it usually just makes the colour brighter.

het = heterozygous = two different versions of a given gene (homozygous = 2 same versions). It has nothing to do with a gene being hidden or not visual, that is down to the mode of inheritance, ie:
recessive: het looks the same as normal, homo looks different
codominant: het looks different to normal and different to homo, homo looks different to normal and het
dominant: het looks different to normal but the same as homo, homo looks different to normal and the same as het

hypo = hypomelanistic = less (hypo) melanin pigment

Understanding all this genetics malarky made my head hurt at first but I think I'm slowly beginning to get it.
All I need now is more space, more money and a more sympathetic wife, and then I can start a breeding project!

Lovely looking plasma btw Doogle
