so midnight is freshly shed, do we think normal or root beer?
i would say she is 20% lighter than after her last shed. |

She looks great and you have got some good pics of her. Not sure though if she is root beer or not as I do not know enough about snakes to tell but she does have a head shaped just like Sid who's head seems to be different to Suki's.
After taking about 50 pics I actually got 1 that was in focus and worth sticking up so you can compare and have posted it for you.

I'd say that she is a carolina. Looking at the images I got up searching for rootbeer corns, they tend to be more brown, like a sepia effect all over the snake.
What may be the case here, is that she was bred from a rootbeer, or had rootbeer somewhere in her linage, and carried over a few of the traits. It's hard to say without knowing her full parentage.
And there is lot of variation in the look of carolinas to take into account as well... |
