Hi all

I've got a new viv on it's way and I want to transfer the exo terra heat mat from my old viv to the one - the mat is under a glass viv.

Has anyone had a go at removing one before?

Cheers
Rich

In my faun the mat is in-between two pieces or glass and just slides out. How does yours seem to be fixed under the glass, is it glued to the underside?

This exo terra mat had a peal back label with adhesive underneath, which once pealed back you stick the mat to the underside of the glass.

So in a way it is glued to the glass.

Get it started on a corner and then use cooking oil on a cotton bud to break the adhesion

That stuff is magical, I'd put some on a cloth then work from the corner. The only problem is that it stinks of orange... I mean its pungent.
