so i offered shayde a pinkie today and he refused it like his last feed. should i try every 7 days instead of 5? he took it in the night last time when i left it in his rub. (on a paper towel) should i try that tonight or try getting him out again tonight to feed?

Not had this problem myself before so not sure if I am giving the best advice, but I would try again tonight and if he does not want it again I would leave it with him for the night. If it worked last time there is a good chance it will again.

You dont want to be trying too much, give it a week it wont harm him in any way to skip a meal. I'm guessing with it eating a pinkie that its a fairly new snake, they dont all snatch from tongs etc some are shy feeders, next feed just sneak it into the RUB on a piece of kitchen roll and then cover over the RUB with a cloth, feed in the afternoon as corns are most active then too. You can also just recheck your temperatures just to make sure no external factors are stopping him eating and also if the RUB is quite bare you could add some decor so the snake can move around and still feel secure.

lotabob he ate the first 3 times no problems then the 4th he went abit funny and ate in his rub off towel in the night after refusing in the day. the temps are all good as they have been the whole time ive had him. hes snatched from tongs all times before with the exception of the last. its quite worrying because he is soo small. i got told he was born june last year.

Has he shed for you yet? It could be he's going into blue, not all snakes eat when in blue. Try not to panic too much :)
