i have had a snake for around a month i think it might have mites i cant see any in the water bowl and he hasnt lost his apitite but it looks like black unde4r a couple of the scals under the body he is due a shad could that be anything?

can just be his markings, midnight mt female has a few spots on her tummy. upload a pic.

1.0 western hognose (hero)
1.0 phantom reverse pin dal brindle crested gecko (goyle)
0.2 red dal red harly (sprite) 99% full pin Harley crested gecko (TuLong)
0.0.3 miomantis paykullii
0.0.3 Bombina orientalis (oriental fire bellied toad)
0.3 fancy mice (snap, crackle and pop)
1.0 yorkshire terrier (jasper)
2.1 cats (echo, shadow and pokey)

It can be worrying - when we first got Corno I noticed a few little black spots on her scales and instantly started panicking, but they were just pigment spots. I cheked her several times to reassure myself they hadn't moved before I was happy!

Georgina those 2 snake bellies look lovely, specially the MBK's ventral pattern, not seen that before
