had a wee adventure today. 3rd attempt lucky... (other 2 times didnt go ahead for reasons and such) but took the wee snake to get probed today... sneaking suspicions led me to believe all was not as it seemed...
Vedder is a girl 
She was visually sexed as female by ryan in serpentus (hoggies can be visually sexed and 98/99% of the time its correct. You do get those - like mine - who have unusual tails though, and this makes it harder to visually sex them.)
But he wanted to double check. So he showed me how to hold her correctly and he probed her. I have never seen someone probe before so it was fascinating... defo something IMO, something for someone who is experienced to do.
The probing rod was sooooo tiny and thin! He probed and said she was def female. And 10/15 mins later he wanted to do it again. Just to double double check. And again he said female. He was telling me all about his hoggies (he breeds them as well) and apparently he has a MONSTER sized female in his flat above the shop. I couldnt stay for too long as I had to get back to dundee to pick up the eldest from school, but he wanted to have a coffee and a good blether. Next time I go through I think Im gonna ask to see the monster female hoggie! I may even be cheeky and ask to hold/touch Archie, his albino burm (his own pet but also their display piece)
My poor wee thing now has norman bates syndrome! But shes being renamed Pearl.  |
