Rufus slept all night in the same position. Not in his cave or his house, but folded in half along the front of his viv! I do not know if he is actually male, no intention of breeding so not necessary to know. He is 1+, almost 3ft and weighs in at just under 160g. Is this something to be concerned about? or is he just being odd? lol.

My new snake sticks his head in the hide and sleeps with his body out. Perhaps he fancied stretching out a bit....

One of my hognose does this, either doubled over at the front of her faun or tripled along the side. It certainly doesnt look comfortable but she seems fine

my corn does this, I normally take it as him telling me he's there and wants to come out. If he's in either hide I'll leave him be, if he's doubled up at the front where i can see him, i'll get him out for 10-15 minutes, so he could have learnt that doing this lets me know to get him out for a stretch.

So last night he slept on top of his house (it is a wooden house) so could this be a sign of it being breeding season? .

It could just be the sign of a comfortable snake who feels secure in his surroundings.

If he has the breeding urge, he will be scooting around for hours trying to find a way out of the viv/RUB....

Oh that's nice to know then :) I don't know if he's male or not, I don't really want him probed because he might be a girl! I just got a bit worried as apparently unusual behaviour is a sign of stress so I obviously panicked a little :0
