With a slight difference, the biter was a 4 stone Staffie!!
Not his fault at all, i managed to put my hand in his mouth as i tried to pull him off another dog!! Both dogs playing with a ball, both got on fine, then just kicked off over the stupid ball!!!
Of course no 'getting tagged' thread would be complete without pics!! Taken at the hospital about 2 hours after it happened!!
Not really as bad as it looks tbh, its healing up nicely without any sign of infection at all, just a little bit of nerve damage in the palm!!
Just to re iterate, its not the dogs fault, it was mine, so no staffie bashing please. |

Aww, this stuff happens. I have 3 Staffies, one a girl and she goes nuts at the boys when they have a tennis ball! It's mad what they kick off over! Glad it's not a bad as it could have been though!!
And doesn't matter what breed the dog is, all can have their moments! |

Ouch. Definitely more painful than a corn bite. Glad you obeyed forum rule though and got a piccie.
It's one reason why I always have more than one ball/toy on me. And a squirty bottle of water |

That must have hurt! Staffies can be a nightmare with tennis balls, my girl runs up to other dogs and steals the ball and runs away, she's too much of a coward to fight over one though |

well, that was on thurs last week, and so far it seems to have healed well, had dressing changed today, looked fine to me, my palm has scabbed over at last, but is a bit numb in places, so will have to see how the works out!! Hopefully the dressings will be off on thurs this week, its doing my head in now! |

yup, it seems to be healing well, and yes, it hurt a lot. I was lucky i suppose because at the time he had hold of the other dog, so he couldnt close his mouth on my hand properly, i think it would have been different if he could have done. Although, that said, hes so gentle and friendly, he wouldnt hurt anyone anyway. We only had him for a few days, but every night he would come and check to make sure i was still there, then go back and sleep on the sofa!!! He is Louise' dog, who some may remember, and she was obviously devastated!!! |

See how insignificant the mark on my palm is!! Yet its the most serious, and the most shallow!!! The two on the back of my hand are healing nicely now, i had to take the dressing off as its itching like mad now!! The yellow is from an iodine gauze, which is the cause of the itching!!! |

I can vouch for that being a bad idea!! Next time, if there is a next time, i will go straight for the collar and beat the other dog off if need be. |

Ouch! Glad it's healing up. I had a fall a couple of yrs ago and hurt my palm, it took a long time for the pain to go even after it had healed up! |
