I had a phone call of my Niece yday who was cleaning out house she is due 2 move 2. There was a 3ft viv there 2 which she thought was empty but when she was cleaning out the chips a tiny little corn was found. The corn was alive but had no heat & no water. I collected the snake straight away & was disgusted by the fact it had the smallest of heat mats for a 3ft viv & by the amount off mess that was in the tank, mixed sheds & when i picked it up it was so cold it clung to my hands & didnt wanna b put down. I have discovered that the house had been empty for a month so for that time there has been no Heat,Water or food. A good & very experienced friend has checked it over & quite surprisingly is happy with her condition. It has been put into a much smaller viv & is all clean & warm & my god didnt she drink. Hopefully when all settled i can get her 2 feed & then she will b in my care for a long time.

wow- that is a lucky little snakey- sounds like your niece found her just in time- we all know they can survive a surprisingly long time without food, but with no water she would've been an ex-snake before long.. poor little mite
glad her story had a happy ever after- will you post us some pics to 'ahhh' over??? |
and you thought there was no such thing as a stupid question....

So glad that the little snakey was found, your niece could have so easily just dumped the viv without noticing the poor little thing. Sounds like she has really landed on her feet (if she had them that is) and will have a great life with you. |

Corns are hardy little critters, but I wouldn't let mine go for so long without heat, water and food.
I hope whoever left the snake behind has a itch that cannot be scratched.... |
