Have any of you chaps with a Rat Snake ever heard of one 'purring'?
Mirkey was doing his usual face hugger the other day and as he was pretty close to my ear I heard him make a very quiet, high pitched purr or croak! It wasn't an RI type of wheeze in sync with his breathing. It was more like a reflex to feeling me swallow. His tail was wrapped around my neck and he reacted by slightly constricting and giving me a purr.
I can only describe it like one of these almost silent yamming miaows you get from a young kitten.
Maybe I'm going mad due to oxygen starvation by getting throttled but thought I'd ask before they wheech me off to the funny farm.

Don't know about rat snakes but I'm sure one of adult corns talks to us. He makes a very quiet little noise sort of a hiss but not a hiss, if you what I mean. |

My old boy makes squeeky noises some times and makes huffing and puffing sounds, nothing is wrong just seems like he gets over exited for some reason at times. |
