Wow, that's fascinating! Eye's bigger than its stomach usually applied to snakes, but the hawk got lucky!

Poor ickle sparrow hawk! We found one dead in our garden, wonder if a snake got it :P

Guessing he had another dude with him to take photos or at least I hope so!
