Hey everybody, I haven't been on here for a while, but I can only assume that's a good thing as Fritz & I have been getting on like a house on fire since I got him a couple of years ago.
However due to housing and financial circumstances and time constraints, I don't think I am going to be able to remain his owner :(
He has a large vivexotic vivarium complete with 2 hides, water dish, a little climbing frame, etc etc... and as far as I'm aware, he is perfectly healthy. He is super well behaved and has only ever struck me twice (and I think that was because I rudely woke him up to eat).
I'm not necessarily flogging him on here as I understand that this isn't a marketplace, however I could think of no better place to start asking about what I can do. If anyone would like to know more then please don't hesitate to email me at jckcrll at gmail dot com, otherwise could someone recommend a good place to put an advert or something? And do you think about £150 is reasonable to ask for the whole lot?
Much appreciated :)
ps sorry if this is in an inappropriate place, my intentions are good. |
 RIP baby Friedrich. |

I'm not particularly clued up on morphs, sorry, however I'm pretty sure he is Amelanistic (there is a photograph of him in my signature so perhaps someone could verify) - now that you mention it I'm not even sure he is a he! The tail suddenly tapers towards the end, though, and I think that means male. Age is a bit hazy, I bought him in March 2010 and was told that he was not a newborn - my best guess is between 2 and 3 years old. Size is almost a metre long, weight I don't know as I don't own scales but he looks normal compared to all photos of corns I have seen. Never an issue with eating nor shedding, I feed him a small adult mouse once a week and he sheds every few months (though I don't keep a diary).
Sorry these details are a bitpoopbut I kept him as a pet, not a science experiment :P
I got £150 as a ballpark because I paid more than that for the viv and all the stuff in it - I just want to find someone who will love him, I'm not trying to make money off this.
Thanks for the response. |

You'll probably find a mod will move this post to the section towards the bottom of the forum - for sale/rehoming, so look there if it seems to have disappeared!
Also, I'd mention the size of the viv (3ft? 2ft?) and whereabouts in the country you are.
Hope you find him a good home. |

Couple of things, it's a good thing to keep a diary as you can see growth, you can check weight, so if any problems occured you can look back and see when it started etc
as a pet you should keep this information on hand, and therefore does not mean its a science experiment
presumably the £150 is your ball park figure for buying everything in newish condition
but you are selling second hand despite the condition of the items being in, so I doubt you would get that. No one is suggesting you are here to make money and no one is doubting your intentions as toward why you are selling.
In future as friendly advice, keep details of feeding and shedding of any future reptiles you may own, it may be needed and potentially save their life if something went wrong

To be honest I would think you should be looking at advertising him/her and the set up for around the £50 mark. There are just so many corns and set ups for sale. Goodluck in finding a new home for him/her. Just a thought but have you considered moving him/her into a RUB if space is tight and buying a pack of mice on line. Would make it cheaper food wise. And I really don't think he/she would mind not having loads of attention. Most corns are quite happy about this and don't hold it against you when you do have time to get them out :) |

Hey guys, thanks for all the advice. Yep £50 would be fine! That's why I came here :) as for the size of the viv... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNVO1IWHxpA
and thanks for moving this to the right place. I did look for a "for sale" bit on the forum, guess I need new glasses... |
