When I got Diddy, I was told he was miami but I have always put him down as carolina. (I wasnt bothered as he was free from someone who was bored of him) But as he is growing up he seems to be showing more grey? Any ideas?
sorry for being silly lol |

I think Miami's are grey straight off. The examples of miami hatchies on Ians Viv show this off pretty well. I'd go with carolina, and a super pretty one at that! |

Agree with Carolina. There is already orange coming through between saddles. Miami I think don't have that? |

I'd call that a carolina. My miami was pretty grey straight away |

mm- okay i take back my tuppence- having looked at maltesers pics of baby Bruge- huge difference
I spose with tiddlers that have that miami-ish look you really just can't tell what you're going to get in the end? (other than having seen parents/knowing genetic background) and the label on sharon was probably done just visually, rather than knowing breed origin, I would guess.. (from P@H)
Still think Diddy's lovely, whither florida/carolina
EDIT- sharon shed last night, and her sides which were entirely grey now have a noticeable orangey cast to them, plus the dots between her saddles are oranger aswell. How on earth would you ID a true miami hatchie, I wonder, when carolinas can be so misleading??? |
and you thought there was no such thing as a stupid question....
1.2.0 corns: captain haddock, sharon the tiddler and Darling Debbie. plus 0.2.0 cali kings: spot and Numpty... not forgetting the delightful Miss Lovely-Gonzalez-La-Poop apricot pueblan milk snake, and we all miss the Lodger who thought he was a cobra....
