Hi I have a lovely Amel hatchling, but not sure whether he/she is a Stripe-cubed or a Motley, can you peeps help identify please. Definately has no markings on its belly but due to a regurge 2 weeks back I'm handling as little as possible.

| i would say just motley/stripe GP had a anery that was simular (that i wanted to buy sooo much) and she classed it as motley/striped |

the OPs is a stripe, the pic posted by Dancross0 is a motley.
Because stripe is recessive to motley there is no way of knowing if a motley is het stripe or not without breeding it - just because a mot has a stripy pattern is no indication whatsoever, likewise a stripe with a broken pattern cannot be het motley otherwise it would not be a stripe (I hope that made sense!)

Are you saying Morse is a stripe , thanks for the brief clarification on stripe and motley genetics, I'm new to snakes and Morse was a christmas present, chosen by my sister because he/she was very differnt from the other hatchlings.
I don't mind what he/she is, just thought it would be nice to know  |

Thankyou smart bunny, when my sister told me she had reserved an orange and white snake with 'pink' eyes for my christmas present I didn't know what to expect - think she was joking!!
