I am totes into geckos atm but cresties need rather a lot of room, so what lizards (or other reptiles) are good for begginers and dont need tonnes of room??
Thanks

Cresties are probably one of the easiest ones going, care/handling and space wise Leopard geckos are good too; dont need the height like cresties do, but do need floor space. Ocelot geckos? Smaller than leos and dont need the height. I had one once, lovely wee thing! |

I think a 45x45x45" would be fine for two females, thought thats just coz i usually work in exo terra sizes for cresties lol Never kept mine in a wooden tank; thinking the humidity may cause problems? Not sure on that though.... |

Williamsi geckos?? They're only tiny little things, a bit pricey as not as easy to get in the pet trade at the moment, but there's a few breeders out there. They're just as easy to look after as Anoles.
In fact, anoles are another little lizard/gecko that are good. They're nice and colourful, display lizards really as they don't tame down well. You can usually pick anoles up for about a fiver each. They need a more arboreal viv, but you could go down to as small a footprint as 15x15 inches if necessary, depending on the size of the colony. |

Minimum size tank for one adult crestie would be a 45x45x60 Exo Terra IMO, if you don't have room for one of those then I don't really know what other lizards to suggest as I don't own anything other than cresties. If you have the space one day and decide you want to keep two females with each other (make sure they tolerate each other, first! Some really don't like being housed with others!) then a 60x45x60 Exo Terra would be ok for them Things like beardies are gonna need a lot more space than a crestie, beardies need like 3ft long vivs, whereas a crestie tank would only take up 45cm... |

Blue tongue skinks are great as a first time lizard. My daughter had her 1st one at 2yrs old (it was mine before she was born thou lol, she just loved looking after it) and it lived till it was 15yrs old, she done everything for it, and it never once tried to bite her. Hasent to add she saved for another one and now my 8yr old son has one lol |
With 27 beautiful corns I definitely have snakeitus :-) |
