Hi adam,

We found mites crawling on Cornelius about 2wks ago now. My OH picked off ones he could see then we gave Corny a bath with a little olive oil in it. There is a sticky post on here that we got all info off we needed.

Didn't see any in water then he shed which was lucky coz about 7 came off with his old skin so I just squished them.

To be on safe side, we took all his substrate out & put kitchen roll down, his water bowl back in & just loo roll & kitchen roll for hides.

I poured boiling water over rest of his greenery & two hides & my OH cooked some of his substrate.

We put his fauna back how it used to be last weekend coz we hadn't seen anymore of the little critters.

Good luck & I hope u get sorted soon coz it's not a nice experience!!

thanks kath, how long did you keep yours on kitchen roll for? i've put the kitchen roll down, given her an oil bath, also put some mite spray on some kitchen roll and she went through it, not seen any mites today, cant see anymore on her but i'll repeat everything again at the weekend :)

That's ok Adam, glad to have been some help.

We kept him on kitchen roll for about 2wks & during that time, we just kept checking him over & kitchen roll & thankfully didn't find anymore.

To be honest, if you don't see anymore for next few days, don't bathe her again coz some corn snakes find having a bath stressful & I wouldn't put yours thru stress unless u really needed to.
