It depends on the size of the snake. For youngsters I prefer to use an exo terra terrarium as they are very escape proof.I have my hatchling in a plastic breeder box inside the exo terra for added security, he'll be moving into the exo after Christmas. For an older snake that's a decent size, a wooden viv is fine, just take extra care to check the sliding doors are closed properly, and get either a lock or wedges for the doors. I have 2 wedges, one top and bottom with a folded piece of hard cardboard down the centre to stop any escapes where the sliding doors overlap..also glue in any vents and plug up any holes with sealant, check and double check before putting the snake in |
