A hatchling is anery or normal?

Do normals have some colour in them as hatchlings?
I bred an anery with a normal, turns out they both have a few hets, hoping I've got anery to add to the females hets.

The hatchlings were black and grey, there's a pic in my other question.

Cheers guys.

baby anerys are pretty much pure black and very pale grey, where as a normal looks a dirty brown and faint orange (yellow takes longer to develop, therefore the orange too)
