As all the snakes have moved out of the 2 footers into the stack Harley decided he wanted a bigger place to run free in, his 32 Litre RUB was too small for him.

So with a few bits of wood, a bit of fake foliage and a second hand heat mat (sealed, dont worry), i knock him together a little set up but I've only gone and lost him!!! Can you help locate him

Few questions a out this. As I'm thinking of getting a gecko.

1. Is that viv tall enough?
2. With it being wooden isn't there a mould issue with the humidity?
3. Would the heat may not be a problem for their feet when climbing it?

Looks great tho! Debating getting a gecko as my next reptilian pet!

1) For now yes its tall enough, he is only a juvenile, and not very big at all. His final house is going to be an all glass terrarium and will be quite tall but I haven't built it yet.

2) Yes the humidity can be a problem but this vivarium is laminate and all edges inside and out have been sealed. It wont last forever though even with the sealing but he will only be in there for a few months.

3) The heat mat is controlled by a thermostat, the probe is stuck directly to the face of the mat so the mat itself will never get hot enough. Also as mats aren't waterproof it needed sealed too.

The funny thing about Harley is that's the only time I've seen him go up high like that, even now he is back nearer the ground, in the RUB he was almost always on the ground, I think that's where the insects are so that's where he will be the greedy beast.
