Good news Toki! Have you thought of using the 'sock trick' to calm her even more?

Leaving one in there do you mean or holding her with it?

She's got no problem with our presence any more, she comes out now when we're in the room and doesn't zoom off and is ok when viv door is opened. Just when she's being held she jumps, say every time you have have to move you hand to support a bit of her, she jumps again when touched.

I think it's as in her last home she was poked and prodded by young kids, quite hard and suddenly, and she just used to let it happen but flinch and shy away.

She's got such a lovely nature. Our kingsnake, although tamed a great amount, if you did that to him, he'd have your face off lol. She just sits there and flinches.

Poor baby. I guess handling her gently as you are is the only way. Some snakes are naturally nervous and do flinch, but all the same I hope she settles.

Oh poor thing We've got young kids, but they are under very strict supervision at all times, and would be sent away immediately if they poked/prodded. That's so irresponsible of the parents

Our little Corno is getting so much more confident as well now, she comes out most evenings to watch us, still slightly flinchy if someone goes past too quickly, but great at being handled and we've only had her 3 weeks, we're all besotted with her!

It is irresponsible, they did it when we went to get her and I couldn't wait to get her out of there.

Awwwww she come out for us today - I opened the viv door and she come zooming over, come out the viv on her own too! She jumped massivly when I picked her up but she's getting better
