Can you put wild twigs and small branches in a viv?

Obviously they'd have to be debugged and cleaned of germs, but how would that be done? Freezer? Oven?

I wouldn't use little twigs, they will break.
http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7285 Heres how to prep, debarking is hard work though! And I wouldn't use lots that have lots of little hoels like they have wood worm or something.
