I have a question regarding viv upgrading. I know you need to upgrade the size generally when the snake is the same length as the lengh+depth of the viv/faun its lives in.

My snake is currently 20" long. It will out grow its current faun when it reashes 30" so my question is:

What size viv should i buy next? 2 or 3 ft?

I know i am a way off needing one as it may take her a while to grow a further 10". Just want to get prepared space and financial wise.

i'd be tempted to go for whatever size it's going in as an adult and partition/section off a smaller area, making it larger as required
it kinda depends on the depth of the viv too though

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos

I recently upgraded Voldemort's viv, and put him in a 3ft viv, but put a divider in at 2ft. He's 32", and I guess it could be a year until he's big enough to have the 3ft to himself...was supposed to save me money, but I now have baby Falco, who will eventually go into Voldemort's divided viv, and I'll buy a new 3ft for Voldemort, or I'll buy a new stack for them both and waste even more money
