Hello there, I'm new here and am currently trying to learn all about setting up snakes before I hopefully get one! It's officially for my son as he's asked for a corn snake for Christmas, but I've wanted snakes for years anyway lol! He asked for one last yr but then forgot so obviously was not really that bothered, but this yr it's been a non-stop hassling for about the last month and has even chosen a name so I think he's a bit more definite about the idea!

I used to keep lizards as a teenager, but never had a snake, and I'm just trying to find out as much as possible at the moment so I don't get things wrong!

Hmm.... I didn't really think about whether my usual forum/gamer name would be appropriate on a snake forum lol!

Of course the problem with me browsing the forum and seeing all the pics of so many gorgeous snakes is.... I want to go and BUY ONE RIGHT NOW!!!!

I'll have to be responsible and lock my credit card away until I know what we want lol!

*and STOP looking in the for sale part of the forum... *

Arrrgh, I cannot be good, I have no willpower! We saw some hatchlings earlier and having shown my son loads of different photos of different morphs since getting back to make sure he knew what he wants he still claims he likes the ones in the shop best lol (he's not stupid - he knows those ones are available )! Going to go and reserve one tomorrow and then get set up and hopefully be ready to then go and collect him/her next week.

Of course I could always get one for myself at a later date..... and then we'll end up with 10 by next yr apparently

OK, so here she is! She came home yesterday and apparently the pet shop reckoned she's about to shed... she's been hidden under her hide ever since she got here, (occasionally sticking out a bit so we know she's still moving about a little) so hope she's OK. Resisting the urge to check up on her is tough lol!

(Ignore the fact she's on bark, that's simply what the pet shop sent her home in )
