Just thought I'd show my face, as I've been reading your posts for the past week! I'm Vicki, and hopefully on saturday I shall be going to pick up my very first snake  I'm so excited it's silly, I keep looking at the viv I've set up and I'm counting down the days 
I will apologise now, as I'm bound to have loads of questions, but better to ask and find out how to do things properly than to not ask and something happens to Eric (as my snake shall be now known as - boy or girl, it's Eric!)

Thank you  - just wait until you see some of the other guys/gals beauties...and make sure you get plenty of pics of Eric on here once he/she has settled in (maybe a couple whilst he is moving in  . So..why Eric? Am I hinting a possible love of a certain Viking Vampire....? |

lol I don't know really! When I kept fish years ago I used to have plecos called Dave and Gordon, so Eric just seemed a natural choice - altho I know I've seen one on here called Kellog which I think is brilliant!
As for Viking Vampire - who?! I'm a 40 year old who is really not into all this Twilight stuff, I'm more into Doctor Who - yep, I'm a nerd lol |

I don't watch that either lol NCIS, Bones and gory hospital stuff is more my thing :)
What I did want to ask tho, what is all the 0.0.1 or 1.0 things I see written next to the snake names? I'm a leeeetle confused! |

Welcome Vyx, I was so excited when I was about to get my snake so I know how you feel. I cleaned my faunarium over and over..making it spotless!

Hi Vyx, welcome. I've only had my first corn snake for nearly 2 wks & did all reading up I could before we got him but nothing quite prefers you for the real thing & this forum has been an absolute godsend!
Don't be afraid to ask any question, however trivial or stupid it may seem to you because you'll get good advise on this forum. It's put my mind at rest & stopped me worrying too much, I can tell you! |

I must admit I am a little worried about losing him/her through escaping, been reading up on all the escape artists on here, and keep looking at my viv for holes - no matter how small lol |
