I knew that Mantis were predatory hunters but never thought they would take on a snake. Although snakey was a youngster it was still a heck of a relative size. Looks like it got away with just a couple of nips.

Does anyone else think that this scene sort of looks like one that the TV companies sometimes stage for extra footage? I know the scene is pretty dramatic as it is should it have been filmed innocently and genuinely as the events unfolded in the wild. But, I just honestly think that this is set up purely to get the footage.
