Well after doing my research I thought I was prepared for a king snake. Up till this morning everything had been as I expected. He's tail rattled at me,hissed at me,struck at me and introduced to me the heady delights of snake musk.
This morning though, while sitting quietly sipping my coffee and doing some coursework,I had the unexpected pleasure of hearing my first snake fart!!
Cheers Vader for giving me such a good giggle.

Some pics of him. These were taken before he earned the affectionate name of Trumpy Bum:

Cheers,I'm really happy with him. His bottom burp has made him all the more endearing in an odd way.

I've kept snakes for over 10 years, and actually heard this for the first time a few weeks ago. Sitting typing on the computer and heard an awful noise from the snake rack... I couldn't stop laughing...

Auld Baldy makes a good point, when my husband does it, it's far less charming

I thought lighting but with what looks like scars to his head I thought maybe he was a rescue with a story.

Lol Auld Baldy, snakes are cuter than men thats why they get away with more, plus they don't fart as much as men either!

Was it a male snake that let rip Lixra?

@ lotabob, yep its just the lighting. His eyes are perfect and he has no scars either, its some specks of aspen. Sure theres a better term than speck, but can't think of it at the mo.
He had a very good home with another forum member prior to me.

I'd never have thought snakes actually made a noise ... I would have cried with laughter, although I wasn't laughing when fluffy pooped all over my pyjamas the other night ... vader is such a beautiful snake though, easily forgiven lol
