Hello

My name is Paul I am 36 and live in Cornwall with my wife and three children & a cat.

I have been looking into getting a Corn Snake for a few weeks now, I am still without one at the moment but I have been today to my nearest reptile specialist, we had a good chat and he answered some questions I had, the guy also showed a couple of Corn Snakes he had in stock they were very pink. I has told they would go more red as they got older.

We left it that my wife and I would have a good chat and get back to him.... we chatted.....and chatted...... and chatted some more, my wife keeps marine fish/corals so this is for me.
I would like to buy locally as I think it would be good to have someone that can order bits and pieces and for advice, they will also look after the snake If we go on holiday.

This afternoon I have been looking at pictures of many different corn snakes, I have sent the guy at the shop an email asking about a starter kit that he was selling for £90 including snake. I also asked if he can get either a Diffusion/Bloodred or Sunkissed, I don't know if these are the correct names, I got them from the following website.
http://www.cornsnakemorphgallery.com/diffusion/
http://www.cornsnakemorphgallery.com/sunkissed/
I like the vibrant orange/red.

Anyway sorry this post is so long, thanks for sticking with it, I will hopefully be the proud new owner of a nice little Corn Snake within the next week.

I look forward to reading posts and posting myself soon.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your decision to get a corn snake. They are really lovely animals to keep but be warned, it rarely stops at one.

Thats two people now who have said "it won't stop at just one",

I know what this could lead to, as i said in my opening post, my wife keeps marine fish/corals and I have stood back and watched as it all started off as a Nano reef, nice and compact,

She now has a 220L tank (i could be wrong,it could be bigger), I am sure she will want to go bigger in time..

Whilst i am writing a post could anyone tell me the best/easiest way to add pictures, am I right in that you don't upload directly to this site you need to use another site to host the pictures and use a link in the post.

What is the most common site people are using to store there pictures.

scottishbluebird - Have you got the picture that appears at the bottom of your posts stored on photobucket, do you have to goto PROFILE and put the link in the PICTURE section?

hi there, the pictures at the bottom work the same as normal pics, take the link from photobucket (think it is the bottom link) and use in it in the signature box on your personal profile page, you can preview what it looks like before actually posting it so you can see size etc first, hope that helps
