How big is the snake? That much food sounds like to much.

Temp should be 27-30*C (80-86F) at the warm end.

A thermostat works by turning the heat may off when the desired temperature is reached.

The heat mat should could 1/3 to 1/2 the bottom of the viv.

Setup looks fine. But again this depends on the age/size of your snake. It may well be to big for a small snake.

4 pinkies is just wastful and costly, I haven't heard of corns eating more than x2 of a food item a week. I would try 1 fluff a week after all pinkies have been munched.

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3

I agree about the pinkies, 4 is way too much, I'd go with the above advice and put him onto fluffs as soon as pinkies are all gone :)

If you do decide to feed him fluffs remember you don't go by the size of his head u go by the biggest part of your snake no more that one and a half time the size of the thickest part ov him, and i'd say if he is eating that many pinkies i would definitely put him on fluffs

If you think that a fluff would be too big for him then stick to just 2 pinkies per week, although my stepmum has a small snow corn which looks smaller than your snake and she is on fluffs, then again every snake is different

A lot of pet shops give out wrong advice ... I don't bother asking them anymore, I just come straight here instead :)

Turn the mat off and don't feed your snake until you have got a thermostat. If it feels hot to you then it is way too hot for your snake. The snake could get burnt or suffer neurological damage. You can get a mat stat online for around £25 so not too expensive. Those dial thermometers are pretty useless so you really need to get a digital thermometer too. You can get one of those on ebay for around £3
