Hi my snake is due to go vets tomo for tube feed & medication but she has gone very dull (duller than normal during a shred) & very blue eyed as she is about to shred last time i handled her during her shred her skin broke & had to try & get it off due to towel & pillow case tricks & baths & dont want to risk this again as she still got some old shred to shred off with this shred? Do i take her to vets tomo or leave her till she has done her shred. I spoke to nurse at vets & she thinks it be ok to take her but im in two minds whether to or not?

It needs the full course of antibiotic medication at the correct time regardless of shedding as with all infections if you dont correctly treat it you could end up with super bugs etc that dont respond to antibiotics and thats bad news for all snake keepers.

Is your vet an exotics vet? Most will show you how to give the medication and give it out as they would with a dog or cat too, are you been charged for every visit (I'm sure you will be), think you may be getting taken for a mug.

Flagyl-S is a metronidazole-based antibiotic..........how many times are we told by doctors "we only prescribe antibiotics if completely neccessary" and "you must complete the course"...?

totally agree with eeji and mamma above ^^

To be quite honest I don't know why you bother asking questions on here as you always completely disregard any advice given. You have been advised before about looking for another vet. Every time you have posted something about him, there has been doubts about his quality of care. For the sake of your snake I would advise getting a second opinion about your snakes health.

Did you sort out getting a thermostat?
