Hi guys Eve refused to feed again today last time i put it down to the fact she was shedding however today i took a pinkie out to defrost (i put them in a tub inside the viv to defrost naturally however when it had defrosted it was discoloured all black and liquidy and nasty looking eve refused to feed pretty sure pinkies are called pinkies cause theyre pink not black and goopy have i got a bad batch or is eve just being fussy ? i didnt wanna leave the nasty goopy pinkie in for her so ive taken another out to defrost and will try again later the oscar happily disposed of the other one lol

it was nasty mate eve wouldnt go nr it and when i placed her nr it she crawled over it and it was all slimy ugh im sorta glad she didnt eat it actually id have been worried she regurge it

I bought them from pets at home have taken a pic of the one currently defrosting it really doesant look all that pleasant Eddie eats fuzzies so im not really sure how f/t pinkies are supposed to look am i just being picky ?

That does not look good, my pinkies are more pale than pink, defo not that colour.

That looks pretty ok! Careful defrosting it. If it gets too hot it'll burst open and you'll get the goop then!

I find that sometimes they look darker than normal, other times they just look like the colour of ham xD

I dont like ham at the best of times (bad experience with some out of date ham when i was pregnant) now Im sure I pretty much hate it lol

The purple colour makes me think that the pinkie has been bruised at some point. Seen the same with chicken.

I've had pinkies that colour before and they've been ok (well,the snakes have,not me)

My stepmum feeds pinkies to one of her snakes and sometimes they look like that other times they are pinker ... also if the pinky is going to be a dark furred mouse their skin can be a little darker than one thats going to be white furred ... they are all very pink when born but at about 3-5 days old their skin changes to match the colour of their future fur :D

that looks pretty normal. I think the darker bits are ruptured cells due to being frozen

I think it may be a black mouse just developing the starting point for black fur.
