Hey guys im after a bit of advice

Eve is a nightmare to get back in her rub after handling soon as you put her down she turns into a tasmanian devil lol shes fine being picked up and handled no problem at all however the second shes placed back in her rub she goes mental! her being so small and me being so big im absolutely terrified im going to hurt her.

When i put eddie back he seems to instinctively pick one of his hides and goes straight in/under it eve only has one hide as her rubs so small (she was in a cricket box when i brought her home but ive upgraded it to something slightly bigger and more secure) should i add an extra hide would that help ?

Problem is as soon as i try to get the lid on the tub shel make a dash for freedom and im terrfied of trapping or catching her
id really appreciate any tips or advice you could offer me.

Thanks

Paul

sounds like a kid at bed time lol "just a little bit longer, pleaseeeeeeeeeeee". A second hide may well help, otherwise you could perhaps try directing her into her hide as you put her back?!? I know that with AURYN, half the time he smells that he is close to his Viv and he tries to get straight back in and other times he is just "not ready?" to go back in and will try going back up my arm rather than in his Viv

Maybe move her to a faun, smaller hole for her to try zoom out of! My amel hates being put back, she sticks her head out, clings around the corners, I have to put her all the way over the other side. Same for my adult Anery!

My Mirkey did the same the other day. After almost an hour happily playing at Alien Face Huggers wrapped around my neck I pointed him to the RUB and he went absolutely berserk. Bolted for the far end scattering chips all over the place. At one point I thought he was going to chuck the water bowl at me!

When I eventually got the lid buttoned down he zoomed into the Glenlivet hide and went into a right stinker of a huff. Sat there with his head sticking out glowering at me. I'm sure he mouthed a couple of profanities regarding the marital status of my parents.

As Eve is so small, try positioning the lid on the back edge and drape a tea-towel so that it covers the lid, back and sides and tuck the excess under the RUB. Then steer her into the open edge. With a bit of luck she'll head for the front as it would appear as the only escape route to her and give you the chance to close the lid safely. This would at least prevent her getting too far in her bold bid for freedom.

(Instead of the tea-towel you could use a pillow case which might be a better option.)

^ ^ LMAO. if she only has one hide, maybe a faun might be better? so hide at hot and cool end, and with a faun you dont have to take the lid off, use one of the smaller flap lids.
least you know she likes your company!!
