hi, i am making my own rockscape for snakeys big viv and need to know which paints are safe and suitable for snakes. i note 'plasti-kote' has been used on the salt dough hides. anyone had any experience of this or other paints?



0.1.0 yorkshire terrier 'poppy'
0.0.1 cornsnake 'curly'

regardless of what paint is used, it the final coats of varnish that are important. It'll seal the paints up so they wont seep or bleed out if they get wet.

As most DIY carcassing is pine would the same apply to sealing that. I appreciate pine is meant to be toxic but if several coats of something like yachting varnish was used to seal it would it be ok?
