Hi Everyone,
Today we successfully fed Candy for the first time since we've had her and she didn't mess around at all! lol
I lifted her warm hide but she was hidden under the substrate and newspapers. I introduced the mouse and she instantly showed her head flicking her tongue everywhere lol
She finished the large mouse in no time at all and is now back under her warm hide.
She was very hyper after eating the mouse when I was placing her hide back, this what is referred to as being in 'feed mode'?
I know I have to give her between 24 - 48 hours rest before handling now, wouldn't want to even try to go near her right now
Here's a couple of pics
Hope everyone's well

Yay! Glad she fed1
But I'm gonna be the one to say it, if you're gonna feed in the viv with aspen, you need to put some kitchen roll down underneath, so she doesn't accidentally ingest any aspen :) |

Candy is now one of my faves, right along with Falcor, if its possible next time you feed her, could you film it, think it would be seriously impressive!! Meant to agree with SPREEBOK about the kitchen roll |

you put the mouse on the kitchen roll and hope candy takes it and eats it on the kitchen roll - if they ingest the aspen it can block their digestive system obviously causing problems, the other option would be to put in a separate feeding RUB |
