Hi guys,
I brought home my baby corn yesterday and it's still in the RUB. I was checking the aspen was clean and uncovered a dried, shrivvelled pinky. Now I was told at the shop that they fed the corns every seven days and the last feed was on Monday-4 days ago.i'm concerned that either my corn has re gurgitated it's last meal or not even attempted it, what should I do? Feed now or wait the 7 days from last Monday?
Cheers, matt

So you havent fed the corn yet? If its a dry shrivelled pinkie its likely that it just didnt take the feed. If it was a regurge you would be able to smell it.

are you sure its a pinky? a regurge or an uneaten pinky will stink like nothing else especially after four days

I would say give ya little'n the "settling in" week, and then have a little handle of him and try feeding him at that stage - he isn't going to starve, that you can be sure of congrats on the new snake

Thanks for the speedy replies, this forum is great, just suppose i'm being paranoid it being my first snake. I've got sooo many questions, but don't wanna annoy you lovely people here! I must be honest, I've handled him/ her a couple of times,it's very confident and inquisitive! Have I done the wrong thing handling so soon? I just couldn't resist it's cheeky charm.

Heya and congrats!

I would say try and leave the wee one to settle in just for a while. These new smells and surroundings can be scary. Maybe try and not handle for the next 5-6 days. Just to settle down into the new enviroment.

And as garrie said, he isnt going to starve if you dont feed right away aswell :o)

Congrats again! x
